The telecommunications company said it was aware of the issue in Indiana and Illinois

The transition from WOW to Astound has been plagued by outages. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:

On its Facebook page, Astound Broadband said it was aware of an issue affecting customers in Indiana and Illinois.

Astound said its teams were “working diligently to restore connectivity as quickly as possible.”

The company said it would keep customers updated and thanked them for their patience.

Numerous customers posted on social media that they were without internet and phone service, some for all day Wednesday.

Astound agreed last year to acquire WOW's Evansville, Chicago, and Anne Arundel, Maryland service areas for $661 million.

The transaction totaled more than $1.7 billion.
