Berry Global is partnering with Taco Bell on a cup made of recycled materials. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:
The Evansville-based plastics company says the clear cup consists of mechanically recycled post-consumer resin, or PCR.
Berry says the cup will be tested in select Taco Bell restaurants later this year with 30-ounce cups using 10% recycled, high-density polyethylene.
The companies say the change will help divert waste from landfills and incineration.
Berry and Taco Bell say the move toward a more circular approach represents progress by both companies to meet their sustainability commitments.
