EVPL Celebrating May the Fourth

Facebook

Central will host Star Wars Day

Evansville’s Central Library plans to celebrate all things Star Wars on Wednesday. WNIN’s John Gibson has a preview:

The EVPL says its event, May the Fourth Be with You, begins at noon in the READ Center with visitors invited to create arts and crafts.

The downtown library says you can build your own droid, create Yoda Ears or Leia Buns, and build origami spaceships.

Officials say they’ll also offer some intergalactic snacks and beverages, including Princess Lays, Wookie cookies, and Yoda soda.

Central invites patrons to stop by between 3:00 and 5:00 pm, when a photo booth will be set up to take you picture and make you look like you're in a galaxy far, far away.

The original Star Wars movie was released 45 years ago this month.

More: Other EVPL locations are also planning May the 4th events.
