The number of COVID-19 cases is rising in western Kentucky, where COVID-related deaths are still being counted. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:

The Green River District Health department recorded 90 new cases in the last week, raising the daily average to 13.

About half of the new infections were in Daviess County.

The COVID-19 Community Level is currently classified as medium for Henderson and Union Counties and low for all other counties in the seven-county district.

The department also recorded three more COVID-related deaths, two from Daviess County and one from Webster County.

It’s not clear when those deaths occurred.
