Columbia Brands is expanding its Robards Facility

A popular sportswear company says it’s bringing new jobs to Henderson County. WNIN’s John Gibson has the story:

Columbia Sportswear has announced that it will expand its distribution center in Robards.

The company plans to invest about $4 million in the facility and add more than 175 full-time associate jobs and supervisory opportunities.

Columbia says the state of Kentucky and Henderson County awarded the company $2.8 million in tax benefits that are expected to be realized over the course of ten years, subject to certain conditions.

On its website, Columbia President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board Tim Boyle says the investment will be good for its business, will strengthen its supply chain, and allowing the company to hire “top-notch talent.”

The new jobs are expected to average $24 an hour, with benefits.

State Representative Jonathan Dixon said Columbia has been a great community partner over the years and he said the continued investment is “greatly appreciated.”
