U.S. News and World Report has awarded Evansville’s Signature School its highest ranking ever. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
The publication has ranked Sig School as the top charter high school in the country.
The school on Main St. was also ranked No. 1 in Indiana and the third-best high school nationwide.
U.S. News noted Sig students consistently outscore state and national averages on college entrance exams.
Students are also expected to complete a minimum number of community service hours.
The publication also touted Sig School’s parental involvement.
The school’s Parents, Teachers, and Students Association organizes fundraisers and provides volunteers for school events.
