Olympic gold medalist Lilly King has qualified for the World Championships. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:

The Evansville native qualified with a first-place finish in the 200-meter breaststroke at the USA Swimming International Team Trials Wednesday night.

She beat NCAA champion Kate Douglass and Olympic bronze medalist Annie Lazor.

King finished with the fastest time in the world this year, earning her the No. 1 worldwide ranking.

The Reitz High School Graduate and IU student, along with Douglass, will represent Team USA at the championships in Budapest this June.
