Downtown Evansville’s casino is completing its new look as signs for Bally’s go up and Tropicana signs come down. WNIN’s Sarah Kuper has more:
Marquee signage for downtown Evansville’s casino changes for a third time on Tuesday as the gaming and entertainment venue completes its transformation into Bally’s Evansville.
Formerly, Tropicana Evansville, Bally’s took ownership of the casino in 2021 and has been changing the hotel and casino’s look since then.
The final touches include taking down the large Tropicana lettering from three sides of building, replacing rooftop signs and installing a new digital marquee.
The casino first opened in downtown Evansville as Casino Aztar in 1995. At the time it was the state’s first casino.
