Funds to be used for three priorities

The University of Evansville has launched a major fundraising campaign. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:

The campaign is called Forward and the goal is to raise $125 million and invest in three major priorities for the campus.

UE kicked off the multi-year project over the weekend with an on-campus gala, where it was announced that more than $76 million has already been gifted toward the campaign.

In a release, the university said the three pillars of Forward are powering a transformational, accessible education; bringing academics to life; and fueling faculty who discover, teach, and mentor.

Among the plans for the funding are increasing the number of endowed scholarships, a new wellness and recreation center, a new engineering building, and expanding faculty opportunities for workshops, conferences, and research support.

More information on the campaign and gifts can be made at forward.evansville.edu.
