Forecasters are predicting high winds and severe storms in the Tri-State Wednesday. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for wind gusts outside of storms of 50 to 55 miles an hour.
Forecasters say strong to severe thunderstorms are possible across the region.
They say damaging winds are the primary hazard with a few tornadoes possible.
The weather service says the highest tornado threat is in southeast Missouri, southwest Kentucky, and far southern Illinois.
The rest of the region faces a slight risk.
Forecasters say heavy rain may produce isolated flooding.
