The COVID-19 death toll continues to climb in western Kentucky as new infections drop. WNIN’s John Gibson has the latest:
The Green River District Health Department counted ten more fatalities in the seven-county district.
Five of the deaths were from Daviess County, four from Henderson County, and one from McLean County.
The department tallied just 41 new confirmed cases in its Tuesday report.
The new single day average for new infections fell to six.
The Green River District encourages residents to stay up to date with COVID-19 vaccines and boosters, immunocompromised residents should talk to healthcare providers about proper precautions, and everyone should follow CDC recommendations for isolation and quarantine.
