Accumulating Snow, Frigid Temps On The Way

File

Forecasters say late-winter storm to be short-lived

The official start of spring is just over a week away, but winter isn’t giving up. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the Evansville area. It begins at 6:00 Friday evening and continues until 6:00 Saturday morning.

Forecasters are expecting rain to change to snow and accumulate up to two inches.

They say drivers should plan on slippery road conditions overnight Friday, especially on bridges and overpasses.

You’re also urged to bundle-up, because temperatures are forecast to fall into the teens with single-digit wind chills.

The cold snap is forecast to ease on Sunday, with temperatures reaching the low-to-mid 50’s.
