State Counts Four More COVID-related Deaths in SW Indiana

Infections were up a bit on the Friday dashboard

Four more COVID-19 related deaths are reported in the Evansville area. WNIN’s John Gibson has the latest:

The Indiana Department of Health counted two new fatalities in Warrick County, one in Vanderburgh County, and one in Posey County on the Friday dashboard.

The number of new infections rose in the four counties, with Vanderburgh adding 86 cases and Warrick adding 41.

The local positivity rate continued to improve, down to 16.5 percent.

The number of hospitalized COVID patients in the 12-county region of southwest Indiana continued to fall, down to 162.

Across Indiana, the agency tallied 99 new COVID-related deaths and more than 1,500 new infections.
