Crews Extinguish Overnight House Fire in Posey County

Perry Township Fire Dept.

Firefighters from Marrs, Perry, and Black townships battled the blaze

Firefighters have extinguished a stubborn house fire in Posey County. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:

Crews from both Posey and Vanderburgh counties were dispatched to the burning house in the 7300 block of West Franklin Road early Wednesday morning.

They were on the scene for several hours, with the last crews leaving at about 5:30 a.m.

About two-and-a-half hours later, they were called back to the house when passersby saw smoke and flames again.

Firefighters tapped out the hot spots. There was no word of any injuries.

Also, no word on how the fire started.
