Man Accused of Drunken Driving with 2 Small Children

File

ISP Arrested Winslow Man Monday evening

A Winslow man is accused of driving while intoxicated with two young children in the car. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:

Indiana State Police say a trooper stopped a car driven by 26-year-old Kyler Lee on SR 57 for a child restraint violation Monday evening.

The ISP says Lee’s three-year-old daughter was not restrained in a child safety seat and was moving freely in the rear passenger area. Police said Lee’s one-year-old son was in a child safety seat but not properly restrained.

While talking to Lee, the trooper said he detected an odor of an alcohol. Police said Lee also displayed signs of impairment and failed field sobriety tests.

The ISP said a test showed Lee had a blood alcohol content of .14%. The legal limit is .08%

Police arrested Lee and took him to the Pike County Jail.

His two children were released to their mother.
