IDEM Offering Schools Virtual Earth Day Presentations

File

The goal is to teach students the importance of protecting air, land, and water

Aprill 22nd is Earth Day and the Indiana Department of Environmental Management is accepting registrations for its annual Earth Day presentations to Hoosier students. WNIN’s Sarah Kuper has more:

Each Earth Day IDEM staff offer Indiana classrooms interactive presentations and experiments that use STEM – based lessons to explain the importance of protecting the environment.

Now is the time for educators to register for the Earth Day presentations. While the 30-50 minute sessions are virtual, the program involves hands-on experiments as well – like classroom demonstrations about how water flows through a watershed.

IDEM staff will talk about their careers and share the tools they use to discover and care for earth’s air, land and water.
