Arrest Made in Perry County Homicide

File

Man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend

Police have arrested a suspect after a fatal shooting in Perry County. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:

Indiana State Police says officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 5000 block of Antler Lane near Tell City late Saturday night.

The ISP says deputies and a trooper found shattered glass in a sliding door and bullet casings.

Officers went inside and found the resident, 24-year-old Amber Willis, shot to death.

During the investigation it was determined Willis’ ex-boyfriend, 24-year-old Phillip Taylor, was a person of interest in the shooting.

Officers found Taylor on Sunday, arrested him, and took him to the Perry County Jail where he’s being held without bond.

There’s no word on what led to the hooting.
