2 More COVID Deaths Counted in Daviess County, KY

File

Nearly 800 more infections were tallied in Western KY District

Two more COVID-19 related deaths have been counted in Daviess County, Kentucky. WNIN’s John Gibson has the latest:

The Green River District Health Department raised the county’s pandemic death toll to 354.

The department also added nearly 800 new infections in the seven-county district between Tuesday and Thursday.

That’s up about 300 from the previous report.

The seven-day average for daily infections in the district fell by about 40 to 236.

District Public Health Director Clay Horton says despite the decline, residents should not let down their guard.

He continues to stress vaccinations, boosters, and masks.

Horton said by taking those steps, the district “could be in a better place in a few weeks.”
