Four more COVID-19 related deaths have been recorded in Vanderburgh County. WNIN’s John Gibson has the update:
The Indiana Department of Health announced the four fatalities on its Tuesday dashboard, raising the county’s pandemic toll to 556.
Vanderburgh County also added 137 infections – a lower number than many recent counts.
Another encouraging sign: the county’s seven-day positivity rate fell below 30 percent. The rate was above 40 percent in mid-January.
The number of hospitalized COVID patients in the 12-county district of southwest Indiana was up slightly to 209, with less than a quarter of intensive care beds available.
Across Indiana, 95 new COVID deaths were added, with nearly 3,100 new infections.
