Four more COVID 19-related deaths and more than 1,700 new infections are reported in western Kentucky. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:
The Green River District Health Department announced three new fatalities in Daviess County and one in Hancock County.
The agency also counted 1,729 more infections in the seven-county district between Friday and Monday.
The numbers represent a decrease in both deaths and infections.
The district’s daily average of new infections fell by more than 200 to 656 during the past week.
In a release, District Public Health Director Clay Horton said infections are still “extremely high” but he noted “we are starting to see some decline in our incidence rates of COVID-19.”
Horton again emphasized the best way to protect yourself and your loved ones is to get vaccinated.
