The county is nearing 100,000 fully vaccinated

The number of Vanderburgh County residents vaccinated against COVID-19 is approaching 100,000. WNIN's John Gibson has the update:

The Indiana Department of Health recorded 160 more total vaccinations and more than 400 booster shots in the county on its Monday dashboard.

Vanderburgh’s total of fully vaccinated residents is 99,834, while the county’s number of boosted residents has topped 46,500.

Vanderburgh’s population is about 182,000.

The number of vaccinated residents in Warrick County rose by 72 to more than 38,500. About 18,600 have gotten booster shots in Warrick, where the population is about 64,000.

Health experts say vaccinations and boosters are your best defense against serious illness or death from the virus.
