The Evansville area may be dealing with ice and snow during the evening commute. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory in effect from 4:00 Wednesday afternoon until 6:00 tomorrow Thursday morning.
The advisory includes Posey, Vanderburgh, and Warrick counties -- along with points south and east, including Henderson, Owensboro, and Madisonville.
Forecasters are calling for one-to-two inches of snow and a light icy glaze.
The weather service says a combination of gusty winds, falling temperatures, and snow will cause hazardous driving conditions.
The rain that falls before the snow could cause some icing on roadways – especially bridges and overpasses – as a cold front moves through the region.
Single-digit wind chills are expected tonight and Thursday.
