The rise in COVID-19 infections has prompted the cancellation of an annual fundraiser. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
The Arc of Evansville has decided to cancel the in-person Really Big Show, and will instead do a condensed version on TV.
It will air Saturday evening, Feb 12, on WFIE TV.
The fundraising event, which features local talent in a variety show format was scheduled for Old National Events Plaza.
Host Jeff Lyons says with COVID on a “rapid rise,” officials decided it was best to cancel the large live event.
The Arc provides assistance to individuals with disabilities, including a community employment program.
