Eight more COVID-19 related deaths and hundreds of new infections have been recorded in southwest Indiana. WNIN’s John Gibson has details:
The Indiana Department of Health added four fatalities in Vanderburgh County, one in Warrick County, one in Gibson County, and two in Dubois County.
238 new infections were added in Vanderburgh and nearly 100 in Warrick County.
The number of hospitalized COVID patients topped 200 in the 12-county district of southwest Indiana with just 17 percent of intensive care beds available.
Across Indiana, the pandemic death toll climbed by 172. The state also added more than 8,500 new infections on the Tuesday dashboard.
