File

Two adults were found dead in their home early Sunday

Two people are dead and a man is in custody after what Evansville Police are calling a double murder. WNIN’s John Gibson reports:

The EPD says officers were dispatched to a home in the 1200 block of Lodge Avenue at about 3:00 a.m. Sunday.

In a release, Sgt. Anna Gray said they found two deceased adults inside the residence.

It appeared both victims had been shot. Authorities have not yet released their names.

Gray said there were also juveniles in the house but they were not harmed.

During the investigation, detectives identified 29-year-old Arthur Lee Jones IV as the suspect.

Police located Jones and arrested him on Sunday.

He was booked into the Vanderburgh County Confinement Center on two preliminary charges of Murder.
