Coroner Identifies Victims of Double Homicide


Authorities have suspect in custody

Authorities have released the identities of two people found dead inside an Evansville home. WNIN’s John Gibson has the update:

The Vanderburgh County Coroner’s Office identified the victims as 28-year-old Derek Johnson and 27-year-old Samantha Robbins.

Police found Johnson and Robbins dead at their home in the 1200 block of Lodge Avenue early Sunday.

In a release, EPD Sgt. Anna Gray said it appeared both victims had been shot.

Gray said there were also juveniles in the house but they were not harmed.

During the investigation, detectives identified the suspect as 29-year-old Arthur Lee Jones IV.

Police found Jones and arrested him on Sunday.

He was booked into the Vanderburgh County Confinement Center on two preliminary charges of Murder.
