A felony attempted murder warrant has been issued for Taylor, after 27-year-old Thendis Compton was shot “multiple times” outside the gas station.

He was taken to a hospital for treatment, and police said his injuries were not life threatening.

Police have released more information about a shooting and fire at an Evansville gas station.

The EPD says in a news release that 27-year-old Thendis Compton was shot “multiple times” outside the Phillips 66 station at 1015 N. Main St. at about 1:00 Monday afternoon.

Police believe the victim and the suspect were arguing before the shooting, but it’s not clear if the two knew each other prior to the argument.

Witnesses said Compton was sitting on a moped that caught fire during the shooting.
