Wright-inspired house to be moved Thursday

University of Evansville

It’s moving day for an entire house Thursday in Evansville. Not just any house, but one designed by a top student of renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright.

What’s known as the Peters-Margedant House will be moved from its original location on Indiana Street to a spot on Weinbach Avenue on the University of Evansville campus.  The move is scheduled to start about 9 Thursday morning and take about four hours. The route will take it under the Lloyd Expressway on Weinbach. The image above is a map of the route the movers will take.

Paola Marizan will be following the move today and filing a report.
