On June 12, 2018, the WNIN listening area of Southwestern Indiana, Southern Illinois and Western Kentucky faced severe weather and there was a blockbuster breaking news story about a local judge resigning in the wake of misconduct allegations.
Most local radio news teams would have thought that enough for one day, but WNIN also reported on an important noise ordinance vote in the city council, added a feature about the Evansville PRIDE picnic and a lighthearted clip from our weekly public affairs show.
With just five full-time staff to run the radio station and produce local news, each day is a challenge. But our team of dedicated journalists enjoys serving the community in the best way possible every day.
