There are hopes to establish a museum recognizing Evansville’s military contribution during World War Two. WNIN’s Daniel Moore has this report. Evansville’s Freedom Heritage Museum has not been built yet, but its supporters have already named its first executive director. Jack Buttrum will be in charge of the museum’s programs and events under a board of directors. The potential site will be a vintage aircraft hangar near Evansville Regional Airport. The cost is projected at between 7 and 9 million dollars.
