Teen suicide victim had guns, ammunition

Authorities say they found guns and ammunition on the teenager who shot and killed himself outside Central High School this week.

The Vanderburgh County Coroner’s Office says 15-year-old Roman Kellough died of a single, self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The boy apparently shot himself hours before his body was found outside the high school Tuesday morning.

There are no known witnesses or surveillance video of the tragedy.

Evansville Police Sgt. Jason Cullum tells WNIN News that officers found three handguns on Kellough.

He says police want to know how the teen acquired the weapons.

Kellough left Central in December to become home schooled. WNIN asked Cullum if Kellough had been bullied at the high school. He said the police department couldn't determine that "at this point."

Cullum urges anyone with concerns about a friend or family member to speak up to help avoid future tragedies.
