ISP

A suspect is in custody following a suspicious fire in Dubois County.

Police arrested 36-year-old Adam Hensley of Birdseye for the fire at the Koerner Block Building on State Road 145 in Birdseye.

Hensley is also a suspect in a residential break-in and theft in the Birdseye area.

A news release from Indiana State Police says a joint investigation by police and the State Fire Marshall’s Office led officers to Hensley.

He faces preliminary charges of Arson, Residential Entry, and Criminal Mischief.

The Fire Marshall’s Office says it determined Hensley set the fire to the Koerner Block building, escaped from the fire, and had a witness call 911.

Hensley was due in Dubois Circuit Court Tuesday.
