Rainy holiday weekend on tap

It’s looking like a soggy holiday weekend in the Tri-State.

National Weather Service Meteorologist Dan Spaeth is predicting rain to move into the Evansville area Thanksgiving night, and continue until through at least Saturday night.

Spaeth predicts two-to-three inches of rain in the Evansville area, but he doesn’t anticipate any severe storms or significant flooding.

One forecast model suggests Evansville could get an inch and half of rain on Friday alone.

High temperatures are expected to reach the 50’s and 60’s through the period, so there’s no snow or ice in the forecast.
