Public Gets Last Chance to Comment on Millenium Report

Residents will get a chance for final input on a report by the Evansville Metropolitan Planning Organization that is planning the future of Henderson, Vanderburgh and Warrick Counties. Regional planners are conducting public meetings for comments on its “Millennial Plan 2040: A Regional Plan for Sustainable Development.” According to The Gleaner, The study is nearing completion and input will be reflected in its recommendations for Henderson County in Kentucky, and Vanderburgh and Warrick Counties in Indiana in transportation, housing, land use, economic development, cultural resources and the environment. The report comes as a result of three years of research, model development, and input from the public, stakeholders and committees. The presentations will be similar in each of the three counties with a question and answer period to follow. Additional time will focus on individual aspects that are county specific. Presentations will each on start at 6:30 p.m. February 5th in the Henderson Fine Arts Center, February 19th at Old Township Public Library in Newburgh, and February 20th in the Center’s Locust Room in Evansville.
