Pollen causing sneezes, congestion

Tis the season for sneezing, itchy eyes, and congestion.

Dr. Jason White of Deaconess Hospital tells WNIN News this fall could be a big season for ragweed pollen. He suggests not letting the pollen into your home, by washing up when you come in, showering before going to bed, and keep windows closed overnight.

White says the harsh winter caused a short tree pollen season this summer. But he says as other allergens combine with ragweed this fall, it could be a miserable time for hay fever sufferers.

For this allergy sufferer, your humble reporter John Gibson, a prescription nasal spray has made this time of year much more tolerable.
