Pence campaigns in Evansville

John Gibson

Governor Mike Pence brought his campaign bus to Evansville Friday.

Pence and a group of supporters on the bus visited Evansville to celebrate the opening of his campaign office on John Street.

He addressed about 50 local supporters in the parking lot, saying the primary is over and the race is underway.

Pence promised to tell Hoosiers all about the record of his opponent, former Indiana House Speaker John Gregg.

About a dozen protesters who aren’t pleased with Pence’s record lined up on the sidewalk, including USI student Teddy Rausch, who carried a sign that read “my uterus, my body.”
