The president of St. Mary’s Health is stepping down.
Keith Jewell has announced he will resign February 28th and return to his hometown of Indianapolis.
Jewell has served as president of the Evansville-based health system since December 2013.
A news release from St. Mary’s says Jewell initiated the discussion last summer, but agreed to stay on through a number of projects -- including the recently announced plan to change the health system’s name to St. Vincent.
St. Mary’s Vice President and CEO Dan Parod has been named interim president, as the hospital begins a formal search for Jewell’s replacement.
