Four star schools named

IDOE

A number of Southwest Indiana schools are being honored as four star schools.

Indiana State School Superintendent Dr. Jennifer McCormick Friday morning released the second round of schools to achieve the four star designation.

In order to reach the four star designation, a school must receive an “A” rating as well as high pass rates in ISTEP testing.

In the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation, Oak Hill and Scott Elementary Schools made the list. No EVSC high schools were named.

Mater Dei, Memorial and Signature School did make the list. In Warrick County, Castle High School was named a four star school, along with several middle and elementary schools.

Gibson Southern, North Posey and Heritage Hills High Schools were named four star schools. There were also some elementary schools named in Northeast and Southeast Dubois school corporations.

A complete list of Indiana four star schools is available here.
