U.S. Senator Joe Donnelly of Indiana was one of three moderate Democrats to meet with President Trump at the White House Tuesday evening.
Donnelly was among a bipartisan group of senators that ate dinner with Trump. They discussed the president’s push to cut taxes for corporations and individuals.
Following the meeting, Donnelly called it “another good conversation with President Trump” about his proposal to address the outsourcing of American jobs.
Donnelly said he was pleased that Trump remains supportive of his End Outsourcing Act.
The Hoosier senator says tax reform should include measures to support companies that invest in U.S. workers and penalize companies that ship American jobs to foreign countries.
Donnelly said he’s hopeful the White House and Congress can work together to encourage domestic investments.
The White House called Trump's dinner with Republican and Democratic senators "highly productive."
