Deputy charged in child seduction case

Gibson County Sheriff

A Gibson County school resource officer is arrested on child seduction charges.

A Gibson County sheriff’s deputy is facing felony charges in the case for alleged sexual relations with two boys.  29-year-old Daniel Greer of Princeton was arrested Monday afternoon.

According to a release, the Gibson County Sheriff’s Department received a complaint earlier this year and asked Indiana State Police to investigate. Detectives learned that between January and March, Greer is alleged to have had sex with the boys while off-duty, on two separate occasions.

Greer was a school resource officer for the sheriff’s department. However, the incidents did not take place on school property. Greer is charged with multiple counts of child seduction and obstruction of justice. He is being held in the Knox County Jail without bond.
