The Evansville community is preparing for the 70th anniversary of D-Day.

Friday is the anniversary of the 1944 allied invasion that led to the end of World War II and the Holocaust in Europe. The “Legacy of World War II” exhibit continues at the Evansville Museum through July 6th .  The Museum is also planning a Holocaust-related exhibit this fall.

The D-Day anniversary will be remembered Friday aboard LST 325, with a memorial service at 9:00 a.m. The anniversary and its local history will be the topic of The Trend, Friday at noon, on WNIN FM.
