Bluegrass Museum Hires New Exec

The International Bluegrass Music Museum in Owensboro has chosen a new leader.

Chris Joslin has been hired as the museum’s executive director.

He was a founding member of the bluegrass group Crucial Smith, and comes to Owensboro after working as an executive recruiter with the Sanford Group in Nashville. Joslin has also worked in health care.

In a news release, museum Board Chairman Mike Simpson says Joslin’s experience in both business and music is “exactly what the board was searching for.”

Joslin says he’s excited to join the organization as it prepares to break ground on a new music center this fall.

He starts September 1st, replacing interim director Carly Smith.
