Author Jamie Ford will visit Evansville to discuss his bestselling novel.
Ford wrote this year’s One Book One Community pick “Hotel on the Corner of Bitter and Sweet.”
The 2009 book explores the U.S. internment of Japanese Americans during World War Two.
It spent 2 years on the New York Times Bestseller List and has been translated into 17 languages.
A news release from the Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library says Ford will speak Thursday evening, September 28th, at Aiken Theater inside the Old National Events Plaza.
The event is free and open to the public.
Ford is a second generation Chinese emigrant. His latest novel is “Love and Other Consolation Prizes.”
