14 year old shot; suspect also 14

Evansville Police say they’re investigating a shooting that involved two 14 year olds.

In an email, the EPD said officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 400 block of Adams Avenue at about 11:00 Saturday night.

Officers didn’t find anything but a short time later, a 14 year old boy arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound.

He told police he had been at a party in the area where the shots had been fired.

The victim’s injuries were not considered life-threatening.

Police say they’ve identified a 14 year old suspect, but have not found him.

Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to call the EPD or the WeTip line at 800-78-CRIME.
