Fire crews to remain at Henderson warehouse scene through the night

Firefighters monitor the warehouse blaze Wednesday, Jan. 8. Henderson Fire Department was aided by five other fire departments.

Fire at building owned by Budge Industries started around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday; no injuries reported

The warehouse fire smoke could be seen for miles away, even into Evansville.

Fire engines and personnel descend upon the warehouse fire at 1156 1st Street n Henderson. Black plumes of smoke are visible for 12 miles.

The building is owned by Budge Industries, which they’re subletting to a warehousing company.

According to the Henderson Police Department, there have been no injuries reported.

Henderson crews are being assisted by Kentucky fire crews from Robards, Basket, Zion, Corydon and Indiana crews from Ohio Township.

Union Township promised a tanker truck.

Although area roads are blocked to allow for fire trucks and equipment, no evacuations have been ordered.

According to the Henderson Police Department, fire crews are expected to remain at the scene throughout the evening into the overnight hours.

There’s no word yet on the cause of the fire.
